Behavioural Coaching with Davit
About me
My work
I integrate psychotherapeutic counseling and coaching to adapt to each client’s individual needs.
Some clients prefer a more strategy-based approach, while some want a space to explore their unexpressed emotions, and individual approach is discussed on the first session. I am grounding myself in integrative-relational psychotherapeutic approach, evidence-based coaching techniques, techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Coaching, and analytic psychotherapy.
I believe that the key to success is combining evidence-based techniques with a space full of empathy. There is no singular approach for everyone, and I am willing to work with you to consider your individualism and systematic differences.
Qualifications
I am a certified behavioural & executive coach by MOE, Association for Coaching-approved training body. I have a B.A. in Psychology, Cognitive and Brain Sciences from New York University and I am a trainee psychotherapist pursuing masters at the University of Cambridge.
I am facilitating a group Cognitive Behavioural Therapy support sessions for some of the UK’s most academically gifted young people at Leaf, an independent nonprofit that supports exceptional teenagers to explore how they can best save lives, help others, or change the course of history.
Prior to setting up a private practice, I founded Effective Altruism Georgia and offered career coaching to highly motivated and altruistic youth from the region.
I have a research background working for the Center for Brain and Health at NYU Abu Dhabi. One of my papers in social psychology has been recently published in a peer-reviewed journal. I believe that my strong researcher training provides an added level of depth to the way I facilitate sessions.
Also, I have a background in operations management, teaching, and strong interest in data science, art therapy, and play therapy.
Sessions
There are many different kinds of coaching. My training covers a broad range of issues, however, I specialise in career and behavioural coaching. My aim is to help you align your actions with your goals and values.
The sessions take place online and last 50 minutes; they can be conducted in English, Italian, Georgian, and Russian.
However, I’d like to point out that I am not trained to work with severe mental illness as I am not a doctor, psychiatrist, or an all-knowing-guru.
First Session
The first session can be shorter and will always be free – this is because it is important to understand our interpersonal connection before committing your time and resources to coaching.
There can be cases when clients and coaches are incompatible – this is totally normal. In fact, the quality of interpersonal connection often is a better predictor of success than a specific coaching or therapy method used. This is well-documented by a growing body of scientific research.
Who do I work with
Currently, most of my clients are people who chose high-impact career paths and care about social impact they are making. My clients include people from the Effective Altruist and Rationalist communities. At the same time, I am open to a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
Schedule a Session
A 50-minute session currently costs £ 60. A 5-session bundle is available for £ 250. I am happy to offer student discounts for £ 40, and I am also able to provide a sliding scale of prices for those who could benefit from it.
Prior to booking a session, please review the ethics statement and terms and conditions. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
